Good Design Award

The Dolce Stil Novo collection is the recipient of one of the most prestigious and internationally recognised design awards, the Good Design Award, 2016. With a 68-year heritage and an international jury that includes architects, designers and creative directors, GOOD DESIGN® has maintained its importance and relevance with criteria focusing on aesthetics, functionality, ecological compatibility and symbolic and emotional contents.

The Smeg appliances that earned the company this prestigious award were the 45cm wine cellars, the sommelier drawer, the 60cm oven, the blade flame cooktop with artistic trivets and the 90cm Combi cooktop; all from the new Dolce Stil Novo range, presented for the first time at the 2016 Salone del Mobile. These ground-breaking products were commended for their refined aesthetic and extraordinary technological innovation in the field of home appliances.

iF Design Award

The hallmark of outstanding quality and excellence – from 5,500 entries from 59 countries, Dolce Stil Novo received a coveted iF DESIGN AWARD 2017. Known for bridging the gap between design and industry, an iF DESIGN AWARD denotes quality, trust and excellence, and has been administered by one of the oldest and truly independent design institutions in the world for 65 years.

Smeg is thrilled to announce that the new built-in Dolce Stil Novo wine cellars have received an iF Design Award 2017.

Red Dot Award

Since its inception in 1955, the Red Dot insignia is lauded as a label of quality as much by the global design industry as it is recognised by consumers. Smeg has been awarded a coveted Red Dot Award; an impressive achievement that has been repeated for the third consecutive year. This year, it was the turn of the stunning Dolce Stil Novo built-in
wine cellar.

The jury is made up of international professional design experts, who thoroughly evaluate every submission before making their final decisions.
The prominence of these awards is hugely rewarding and reaffirms Smeg's passion for creating beautiful appliances.
